Ghillie Dhu and Deb are back in Agility. First competition out and Ghillie takes 1st place in Excellent Agility. Way to go. Ghillie's Page now shows her Club Agility Dog of the year Certifcate.
From Easter Royal show and news just in Jessica and Danielle Walker 1st and 2nd in 10-13 yrs Junior Handlers. Crystal 1st place 13-18yrs Junior Handler. Overall Junior Handler of Sydney Easter Royal show - CRYSTAL WALKER. Wow hey talk about a trifecta. All girls have now qualified for State Finals at Spring Fair in November.
Duke last weekend took a Reserve in Group and Best Aust Bred in Group at Sunshine Coast Kennel Club Open Show. Very close in CH show but just a BOB there.

Duke's daughter Kirchoff Tip Top - "Jazz" owned by Guy and Angela Masson takes Challenge Bitch at Toowoomba Royal then next day finishes her CH at Redcliff Peninsula Kennel Club. Jazz is first of Duke's daughters to gain her Ch. Well done ! Angela has promised us pics!

CATH AND ALEX SELECTED FOR W.A AGILITY TEAM FOR NATIONAL TITLES !!!!! So very proud of them both. The competition is so high in WA they really cut it with the best to make the Team. Gonna be a great Nationals this year!

Duke takes 3 x BOB's and Hat Trick Best Australian Bred in Group at Casino NSW - knocked on the door each day for the Group and Reserve in Group.

Western Classic and Agility/Jumpers time. Tollers put up a huge showing again. Qualifiers Sandi and Scoota in Masters Agility. Masters Jumpers Cathy and Alex, Open Jumping Cathy and Alex and Zoe and Jaffa and Sandi and Scoota. Way to go guys.

It is WESTERN CLASSIC TIME IN PERTH ! Last night the Top 10 Obedience Invitational. Top 10 Dogs from UD Open and Novice. UD Tollers 1ST AND 2ND whoooo whooo only 4 dogs passed in tough competition. 1st "Joker" owned by Sue Hogben - 2nd "Scoota" owned by Sandi Gee. Sandi's Blaize also competed in UD and if not for one tiny missed signal it might have been 1,2,3.. LOL In Novice the other Toller competitor "Jaffa" and Zoe were strutting their stuff. 2 dogs passed and one was Jaffa for 2nd place. how thrilling. Lukas is very proud of his 3 kids who have done so well !!!! Now tonight is the Agility better watch this space!
In first of the Western Classic conformation shows- Sandi's boy Chevy took BOB.

Ok some more weekend updates !!!!
Cath and Alex travelled a wee distance to Albany but for very nice results. 5th Place Masters Jumpers and 2nd place Open Agility.
Ghillie and Deb had their first comp back this year. 1st place Ex Agility and overall 1st place for Ex Agility working off all height classes vs set course time. That was their first qualifier too for ADX.
Maverick straight off the plane from New York took a good BOB then went on to a great Group 3 placement in an over 2000 entry dog show. Mav shows again tomorrow.

MAVERICK TAKES BOB WESTMINSTER !!!! Wow what a day for Linda and Meredith. Maverick was interviewed and on a few different TV stations as well, gathered quite a fan club. Duke had a big weekend 18 hrs, 500klms and 3 shows but came home a very happy boy. 1 x Best in Group, 1 x RU Best in Group (op Show) and 3 x Best Aust Bred in Groups. Duke was still firing and happy at 1.00am when we finally got home and shared a late night snack with us LOL

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE- hmm bit late hey :-) Many thanks to everyone who sent cards and photo's I am trying to get them all up on the web page here.
What a great year 2006 was for everyone and by the brags coming in 2007 is going to be off to a cracking start.
I guess the big end of year brag came from the two Fionavar brothers, our own Duke and his Brother Maverick in California. Maverick finished Number 1 toller in the USA for Breed and All breeds. His last show of the year with a big Group One Win. He started 2007 the same as he started with another big GROUP ONE win. Duke here in Australia also finished Number Toller in Australia in the Dogzonline Competition. Not bad two boys number one in two different Continents.
Duke also had a cracking start to the New Year with a BOB, Best Aust Bred in Group and...... Best Australian Bred in Show.
Little Sister Fury is now USA CHAMPION !!! Taking another Major to finish off her Title.

In Perth Alex and Cath are off to a flying start too. In 40 degree temps Alex has gained another title JDO3, MA 3rd placing, OJ 4th Placing, OA 2nd Placing and an MJ Qualifier. To top that the Duck and Weavers Agility Team WON a teams agility competition. Sandi and Scoota are a part of that team as well as Alex and Cath. Alex and Cath are still on target and gunning for the WA Agility dog of the Year.
Perth and Jaffa had a 1st placing and her first qualifier in Excellent Jumping she also won Jumping Dog of the year at her Gosnell Dog Club.
Sandi with Scoota has been racking up placings in Agility and Jumpers, a Couple of 2nds in Open Agility, OJ Qualifier and of course there was the Duck n Weavers great win in the teams. Sandi has also been out showing with Duke's kids, Chevy and Jenna racking up some points towards there Aust Ch.
Still on agility and Jinty and Mick finished the year on a high note with a lovely agility qualifier in an AADA competition up here.

Werner and Max in Canberra finished the year in fine style too , Dog of the year at the Belconnen Dog Obedience Club.

Happy birthday here at Fionavar to Lukas who turned 10 on 3.01.07 and to Kazan who turned 9 on 26.1.07.
Emma and Declan have only 2 more points to go for their Australian Champ !! At the moment Declan and Emma are out to gain their Sweepstake Qualifer to start competing in Novice Obedience. Declan already has his CCD.
Our Fanta girl owned by Arthur and Anne Wells finished her Australian Champ last night in fine style gaining her last points. Wow Fanta. !
Got pictures of one of Redman's cute sons - hmm also called "Maverick" ;-) so he is the Australian Maverick of course. See pictures of him below.
